Tom Carlisle - Longleaf Pine - March 2007

This is Blackwater River State Forest (BRSF) in Florida. BRSF is part of the large contiguous longleaf pine forest that extends from Conecuh National Forest in Alabama, through BRSF to Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

The pine forest along one side of this white sand road had been prescriptively burned during the winter of 2006/2007.
