I spent three weeks in Louisiana and Mississippi in the spring of 2006. Hurricane Katrina devastated the area. I documented some of the devastation as well as some glimmers of hope and recovery. The seed from virtually every bird feeder in the flood zone was scattered and sown into the mud and muck. Some of them sprouted and flowered to bring a bit of color to the neighborhood. |
